Annual Meeting date set
The 2021 Annual Meeting is set for Wednesday, June 9, at the cooperative’s Headquarters in Columbus.
We understand that some of our members may have concerns about participating in large gatherings. With that being said, we have decided to host this year’s annual meeting in a hybrid manor to give members a choice in how they attend the event.
We plan to offer a traditional annual meeting format and also broadcast the business meeting over FM radio. Members may choose to join us in the Columbus shop for a barbecue style meal followed by the business meeting or remain in their vehicles where they will be served a meal and listen to the business meeting on their car’s radio as they did at 2020’s meeting.
The annual meeting is a great opportunity for members to learn about the operation of the cooperative and the programs and services offered. It provides an opportunity for you to get to know your co-op directors and staff and to visit with members of our co-op community.
It is also an opportunity for you to exercise one of the greatest benefits of being a member of an electric co-op—voting for the upcoming year’s board of directors. At this year’s annual meeting, members will elect a director in District 1 and a director in District 2. Click here for Information regarding the director election process.
The official annual meeting notice and 2020 Annual Report will be mailed to all members the end of May.
