2017 Sharing Success Grants Awarded
Burke-Divide Electric Cooperative is proud to announce the recipients of the 2017 Sharing Success grants. Congratulations to these organizations!
St. Luke's Hospital
St. Luke’s Hospital in Crosby received $6,000 to purchase additional physical therapy equipment to better serve the needs of the community.
Wildrose Public Transportation
Wildrose Public Transportation received $4,500 to continue offering transportation services to residents of the area.
Columbus Fire Department
The Columbus Fire Department received $4,500 to use towards equipping a truck for fighting brush and wildland fires.
The Sharing Success matching grant program is a partnership among Burke-Divide Electric Cooperative, CoBank and Basin Electric Power Cooperative.
CoBank is a cooperative lending institution that provides loans and other financial services to vital industries throughout rural America including agribusiness, water, communications and power providers. The Sharing Success matching grant program was launched by CoBank in 2012 as a way to highlight the International Year of Cooperatives. The program was designed to celebrate the vital role that cooperatives play in individual communities across the country.
Basin Electric Power Cooperative is a wholesale electric generation and transmission cooperative headquartered in Bismarck that provides electricity to electric cooperatives in nine states, including Burke-Divide Electric Cooperative. Basin Electric Power Cooperative’s Charitable Giving Program exists to distribute funds to a wide range of programs for the greatest social and economic benefit for the Cooperative’s membership, employees and communities.
